Assumptions & Method

Knitted garment consumption employs seam allowance constants:

Body Allowance: +10 cm added to length for bottom hem & shoulder seams.
Chest Allowance: +5 cm added to half-chest for side seams.
Sleeve Allowance: +6 cm added to sleeve length for cuff folding.

Formula Definition

Total Sq Cm = [((L + 10) × (Chest + 5) × 2) + ((Sleeve + 6) × 45 × 2)]
Grams = (Total Sq Cm × GSM) / 10,000
Kg / Dozen = (Grams × 1.08 × 12) / 1000
